Cisco Smart Net Total Care Service is a technical support service that offers direct, anytime access to Cisco engineers and an extensive range of technical resources along with entitlement to smart capabilities. This proactive maintenance offering delivers rapid issue resolution, flexible device-by-device coverage, and premium service options that help mitigate risk, resolve problems faster, and improve operational efficiency.
Cisco Smart Net Total Care provides the following:

  • Around-the-clock, global access to the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
  • Advance hardware replacement
  • Software updates for your licensed feature set
  • Access to the extensive Cisco.com knowledgebase and tools
  • Comprehensive, web-based user community for self-service support of smart capabilities

If you are experiencing an active security attack or believe that an attack is imminent, customers with Cisco support contracts should contact the Cisco TAC at +1 408 526-7209 (toll call from anywhere in the world) or +1 800 553-2447 (toll free within North America) and request escalation to the Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT). Customers without support contracts should contact PSIRT using the method described above.

Cisco Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT)

The Cisco Product Security Incident Response Team is a dedicated, global team that manages the receipt, investigation, and public reporting of security vulnerability information related to Cisco products and networks. Cisco PSIRT provides security advisories. The PSIRT team is available around the clock to identify possible security issues in Cisco products and networks.

For immediate emergency assistance, contact the 24 hour TAC hotline at+1 408 526-7209 (toll call from anywhere in the world) or +1 800 553-2447 (toll free within North America) and request escalation to the Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT).

Cisco Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT)

The Cisco CSIRT forms the investigative branch of Cisco’s Information Security organization, and is Cisco’s cyber investigations and forensics team. CSIRT provides Cisco with tailored security monitoring services to protect Cisco from cyber attacks and loss of intellectual assets.

CSIRT’s primary mission is to help ensure company, system, and data preservation by performing comprehensive investigations into computer security incidents, and to contribute to the prevention of such incidents by engaging in threat assessment and detection, mitigation planning, incident trend analysis, and security architecture review.

Cisco Managed Security Services

Cisco Managed Security Services provide 24x7 remote monitoring and management of Cisco security devices that are deployed on your network. Cisco Managed Services use automated tools that measure device performance and detect anomalous events. The staff is composed of engineers who specialize in incident monitoring, access control management, and threat management. If you are experiencing a security incident, Cisco will work closely with you to analyze the incident and ensure the appropriate remediation steps are taken to mitigate the threat.

Cisco Tactical Operations (TacOps)

Cisco Tactical Operations (TacOps) is a dedicated team that can mobilize and respond to natural disasters and other catastrophes when customers’ normal communications infrastructure has been degraded or destroyed. Trained to work in challenging environments, the team responds with the Cisco Network Emergency Response Vehicles (NERV) and other satellite-based communications equipment during the acute phase of an emergency.

Priority for TacOps support is given to mission-critical public safety, government, and critical infrastructure customers. To request Cisco TacOps services, please contact your Cisco account team.
