A vulnerability in the upload module of Cisco RV340 and RV345 Dual WAN Gigabit VPN Routers could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to insufficient boundary checks when processing specific HTTP requests. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code as the root user on the underlying operating system of the device.
There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.

At the time of publication, this vulnerability affected the following Cisco products if they were running Cisco Small Business Router Firmware Release 1.0.03.24 or later:
- RV340 Dual WAN Gigabit VPN Routers
- RV340W Dual WAN Gigabit Wireless-AC VPN Routers
- RV345 Dual WAN Gigabit VPN Routers
- RV345P Dual WAN Gigabit PoE VPN Routers

Products Confirmed Not Vulnerable
Only products listed in the Vulnerable Products section of this advisory are known to be affected by this vulnerability.
Cisco has confirmed that this vulnerability does not affect the following Cisco products:
- RV160 VPN Routers
- RV160W Wireless-AC VPN Routers
- RV260 VPN Routers
- RV260P VPN Routers with PoE
- RV260W Wireless-AC VPN Routers

There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.

Cisco has not released and will not release software updates to address the vulnerability that is described in this advisory. The Cisco RV340 and RV345 Dual WAN Gigabit VPN Routers have entered the end-of-life process. Customers are advised to refer to the end-of-life notices for these products:
